Counselling getting started
Free Telephone Conversation
To discuss if I offer you what you want from counselling and a time slot that suits you.
The opportunity to find out if we would like to start working together. You get a taste of how I work and if that is what you’re looking for.
Your initial contact for counselling
If you are looking for counselling you can contact me via phone, email or the contact form. We then would agree on a time slot that suits you for a free first session
Your First counselling session
The first session gives both of us the opportunity to find out if we would like to start working together. You get a taste of how I work and if that is what you’re looking for. For me, it is a chance to gather if I am comfortable with the issues you bring. Going forward we will have regular reviews to discuss and explore our therapy relationship and if counselling with me is working for you. The first review will be at the sixth session. Therapy supports your personal development, finding options and self-acceptance. It can be very empowering.
Time, frequency and cost of your counselling-sessions
A session with me is 50 minutes long, once a week at an agreed time. I offer counselling over a specific time period or open ended. How long you want to stay in therapy is your decision. It might depend on the issues you bring, how you experience your process, changes in life circumstances and other commitments. You can explore what you need at any point as the counselling process is directed by you.
My charge per 50 minute session is £65, unless otherwise agreed. Payment is due in advance.
Location for your counselling session
I am renting a room in Byron House, 112a Shirland Rd, London W9 2BT , in The Institute of Psychoanalysis. For online and telephone counselling you can contact me from any place in the UK and Europe.
Confidentiality in counselling
Everything you explore with me is confidential. If I believe that I have to break confidentiality due to safeguarding issues, I will seek to discuss this with you first and get your consent.
